Project 111 - Parents: This is an Announcement for You!
Parents! PUT IT AWAY!!!!!!
The month of April is all about YOU! We are asking your teens to remind you that
DISTRACTED DRIVING IS DANGEROUS!!!!
We are asking your teens to say ‘PUT IT AWAY’ when they see you check notifications or text while driving!
Distracted driving is anything that takes your eyes off the road, your hands off the wheel, or your mind off of driving. Texting while driving is especially dangerous because it combines all three types of distraction. Sending or reading a text message takes your eyes off the road for about 5 seconds, long enough to cover an entire football field while driving at 55 mph.
Parents! Please set a good example! PLEASE DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE!!!! PUT IT AWAY! #putitawayorbeputinthegrave #headsupeyesup
