THE RISE OF ROBERTS NOVEMBER 7-11
THE AVIATOR
Worry not, Roberts is with you.
Roberts, do you ever worry? Sometimes we allow worry to sabotage our thinking and hijack our path to greatness. Did you know, according to the National Metrological Institute, “A dense fog covering seven city blocks, to a depth of 100 feet, is composed of something less than one glass of water.”? That is, all the fog covering seven city blocks could be held in a single drinking glass. If all the things most people worry about were reduced to their true size, you could probably put them all into a drinking glass too.
I’ve learned that there are things that are within our control and things that are not. There is no such thing as a perfect lesson. Yes, I said it! We deal with kids who have so many things going on in their personal lives and are not at the same place in their learning. We should not be derailed when things do not go according to our plan. Your small group instruction will not always be picture perfect. What you control is how you prepare for your students each and every day. Your actions, your attitude, and your willingness to love openly are also within your control. Teachers, I don’t want you to ever worry about being perfect here at Roberts; all I want is teachers who are willing to take those calculated risks in the classroom and willing to step into growth. Thank you for making Roberts the best!

The Essence of Success BY EARL NIGHTINGALE · THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON © 2007 · 168 PAGES
Beginning Wednesday, as we walk through your classrooms we will be focused on T-TESS Dimension 2.4: Differentiation (The teacher differentiates instruction, aligning methods and techniques to diverse student needs), arguably the most important step in personalizing small group and individual instruction.
RMS ADVANCED GOAL
The conductor of an orchestra doesn't make a sound. SHE DEPENDS, FOR HER POWER, ON HER ABILITY TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE POWERFUL.
small group instruction also provides intensity as students have more opportunities to practice and respond.
Student progress should be monitored regularly to enhance achievement growth.
Small group instruction allows the teacher to differentiate instruction to best meet the needs of all learners.
real time data helps teachers close achievement gaps.
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH DIVERSE NEEDS.
MRS. TORNERO ANALYZES STUDENT assessments to help plan small groups and provide information for the other adults that support students.
How does your lesson design maximize the use of your SPED/ELL support staff?
Ashlie and Angela informally assess student progress on a continual basis to ensure that appropriate learning opportunities are tailored to support students to move toward mastery of skills.
THESE GIRLS BROUGHT COLORS INTO OUR LIVES AND ROBERTS.
A GOOD TEACHER IS EASY TO FIND AT ROBERTS.
THESE TEACHERS ARE LIKE M & M’S.
no matter the color of their outer shell, the sweetness of their spirit within is the same.
