Pratt's Primary Corner
Weekly Update- March 22, 2019
Week at a Glance
Math- We're still building a conceptual understanding of division, and I've noticed students are much more comfortable. This week we each solved a number puzzle and another mathematician had to decide if they agreed or disagreed and prove why/why not. After spring break we will focus more on the area of shapes.
Science/Social Studies- Students came up with a prototype to solve the issue of food insecurity and we started building those today. We read a book called Maddi's Fridge to help students understand that those struggling with food insecurity could be friends or people that we see and interact with everyday.
Writing- We continued working on our opinion pieces. We learned how to address our audience and check our spelling as we write.
NO HOMEWORK MENU! ENJOY SPRING BREAK!
