First Grade Happenings

In math this week we stared a new module: Ordering and Comparing Length Measurements as Numbers. We started by campaign the length of objects to each other. then we move on to measuring objects using centimeter cubes. Essential Question: Which parts of the story help you predict what is going to happen next? (This is a good question to ask when reading with your child.)

Comprehension Skill: Make Predictions

High Frequency Words: any, boy, by, goes, friend, girl, water

Phonemic Awareness: Long vowel "a" spelled with ai and ay

Vocabulary Words: encourage, friendship, relationship, rely, suggest, borrow, trip
