Not your average crowd, not your basic cocktails
Change of Plans - Event #5
As we start to get warmer weather, we get closer to patio drinks, backyard BBQ's, rooftop pool parties and summer cocktails!
Everyone enjoys a nice Greyhound, Moscow Mule, Mint Julep, Pimms Cup, or Mojito (the list goes on and on) to quench their thirst during the heat of the summer. Yet few people can make themselves a proper drink. I've always wanted to learn how to make some fancy drinks. So, I decided to create an event for us to learn and gain some skills in Bartending.
Change of Plans - Event #5 "Mixology 101" will be a casual night to meet new people and learn to make some premium cocktails, from the instructors at Spirithouse! If you didn't know, Spirithouse is also the Toronto Institute of Bartending. So, you'll be getting schooled by the best of the best.
What's the cost? $80 per person.
What does that include? The workshop runs for about three hours, and we'll work through 8-9 recipes. The instructor will walk us through making one as an example, and then a few people will go behind the bar and make it as well. Then those drinks are divided up between those who want to try it. To be completely transparent, the $80 pays for the venue, the instructors time, the cost of the booze used to teach the course and a small admin fee for my time to organize and book this event. If you want to have a drink or two or eat during the course, that is available at an additional charge.
How do you reserve a spot? Email transfer the money to me at email@example.com and you're in! We need a minimum of 15 people. If we don't reach that number, I'll refund your money (obviously).
When is the deadline? It's coming up fast...Sunday, April 5th @ Midnight (only 2 weeks away!).
Can you invite more of your friends? Of course you can! The more, the merrier. And they don't have to be single or married or in a relationship. Everyone's welcome.
I can't wait to learn how to make a proper Negroni and a few other specialty drinks.
I hope you can make it!
