100s Day
The 100th day of school was Friday, Feb. 9. Teachers often celebrate this day with their students as a way to show how much students have learned at the halfway mark.
Some teachers encouraged students to create crowns with 100 items bedazzling them. Some students stacked 100 miniature cups, other students created objects out of 100 Legos, while other students created patterns totaling 100. For pictures of 100s Day, please visit the school's Google Doc folder.

Yearbook Cover Contest
We are bringing back our yearbook cover art contest to provide an opportunity to include student work in the book! This year's yearbook theme is "In Our Wildcat Era."
If your child would like to participate, they should create a vertical (up and down) design on an 8.5 inch by 11 inch piece of white printer paper. Please see past yearbook covers as examples.
We encourage you to have your child use LOTS of color to make their drawing pop! The design must include:
- The theme: In Our Wildcat Era
- The words: Laura B. Sprague School
- The year: 2023-2024
- Student's first and last name
- Student's grade level (Kindergarten, 1st-grade, or 2nd-grade)
ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY THURSDAY FEB. 22. Please DO NOT FOLD your child's entry.
Return the artwork to school in one of three ways:
- Scan finished product at 300 dpi and email to llenzini@d103.org. (Make sure it shows all details and is clear enough to be placed in the yearbook.)
- Drop artwork off at the Sprague School office.
- Mail your entry in a large envelope (unfolded) to Sprague School: Yearbook, 2425 Riverwoods Rd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069.
