SHISD Mid-Week Message

Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD

Homecoming Week!

Homecoming is here along with all of the exciting activities associated with this week including pep rallies, theme days, and of course football. It is such a special time and Spring Hill is a special place. To me, homecoming means welcoming back past students and not only honoring the past, but showcasing the present.

To help honor the past, the SH Education Foundation will host a Legacy Luncheon Saturday in the High School Cafeteria. At the luncheon, they will honor some of SHISD's graduates that have excelled in their professions. The Alumni Association will host a car show on Saturday in front of the teacherage where visitors cannot only see classic cars, but tour the teacherage and get a glimpse of Spring Hill's past.

The motto of SHISD is "Proud Past, Promising Future" and the future has never been brighter for SHISD. One of the ways we honor the past and their legacy is to continue the great traditions at SH. When you come to the game on Friday, you will see more students participating in football, the band is larger than it has ever been, the Pacesetters have grown to a large number, and the student athletic training program is growing, and "The Pack" is bigger and louder than they have been in a few years.

Friday should be one of the biggest crowds ever at Panther Stadium and I encourage everyone to get here early for the festivities and the game. As always, we invite the community down on the field after the game for 5th quarter fellowship.

See you Friday! -SS

Spring Hill Girls 7th Grade Volleyball beat Kilgore 7A 25-13

The 7A team went three sets and came out with the victory. Leading the team in serves was Natalie Fisher with 19 total service points for the night, 10 of which gave us the win in set three. Ke’asya Anderson had a total of 9 service points for the night and was instrumental on the front row. All of the girls played aggressive and communicated well as a team. Defensively, they hustled for the ball and made several tough plays to keep the rally going. Improvement was evident by the girls consistent playing, especially in set one and three.
