What's Happened so Far?
Trades Career Expo, Canyonville on Tuesday, Sept. 26th
Over 50 EPHS students traveled with staff to 7 Feathers in Canyonville for this biennial Trades Career Expo. Students had the opportunity to tour this event that hosts over 80 business, industry, and education folks specific to the trades. Each of the vendors has a booth set up with representatives to provide information about their business, industry & the opportunities within. Some are not only there to provide information, details, and resources but also looking to hire and or provide industry certification opportunities to students upon graduating from high school. Many of these vendors also have equipment & machinery setup as well, so students can truly get a hands & feet on experience if they choose. The event was enjoyed by all as usual & students were able to walk away with a vast array of experiences, information, and materials specific to their areas of interest & curiosity.
Upcoming Business & Industry
When working to complete the action steps for your post High School plans it's important to prioritize & work to complete things by deadlines!
- Work on & complete College/Program Admission Applications
- Applying for scholarships & completing the FAFSA - Again the FAFSA will not open until December of this year & you'll want to make certain you're completing the 2024/25 FAFSA once it becomes available in December.
