Stranded
“Haha, how’s life going loser? Oh, hang on, you don’t have one! Hah hah hah!” jeered Martin, the school bully. Jack was unable to say anything. He was the shortest kid in class and didn’t want to get beaten up. But it seemed as though Martin was waiting for a reaction.
“Aw, Jack ain’t gonna talk since he’s still cowering with embarrassment. Hahaha!” Martin spat. Then he punched him to the ground. Mr. Stan, the principal, was coming around the corner. Martin knew this because of his large thunderous feet. He turned around and saw Jack on the ground. Martin switched to his fake kind voice.
“Oh, Jack! Did you fall? Here, let me help you up.” Mr. Stan smiled and said, “What a kind boy you are, Martin.” Martin flashed his evil smirk at Jack. They left for their class as Jack wiped off the sweat from his brow. Jack was the son of a very rich man and he was a very smart boy. He was teased since he was 12 and since he didn't get his growth spurt... yet. After school, he went home and his dad had some good news. He told them that they were going on a cruise trip for fun. He ordered Jack to pack up since they were going in the limo in an hour. They stuffed their suitcases, with clothes, and left without hesitation. When they got in the limo, Jack’s jaw dropped to the ground. There were disco lights, and a mini-fridge with awesome drinks! Jack was grinning with excitement...but not for long.
Once they got on the cruise ship, Jack went to get a snack. He got a muffin and went to his cabin. The cruise only had a few passengers, and kids his age, weren’t even allowed to go to half of the places! He grunted, “Why can’t we be normal?” He went to sleep and woke up suddenly at midnight. BOOM! lightning was crashing across the sky. Then, it happened. Lightning struck the ship. Everyone woke up but it was too late. The ship was already starting to sink. Everything went dark. The light was gone. Water swirled around Jack’s body as reality reached his mind. The ship had sunk. He was drowning in the water. “It's over,” he thought. “Time to give up hope…” Then he passed out.
