Malcolm's Childhood
Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. He died on February, 21 1965. His father was killed in a car accident when he was six. His mother was sent to a mental hospital when he was twelve. He was then sent to a series of foster homes. Malcolm was arrested for robbery when he was twenty one in January, 12, 1946 and was released in 1952. While in jail, he became a member of Islam.
Malcolm'smovement
Malcolm’s involvement in the black supremacy movement was large. He was a main leader of the movement. He was a segregationist, who fought for black supremacy. He rejected the Civil rights movement, for it’s emphasis on integration. He said he would use violence if it were needed.
