This is your Captain Speaking!
Hello Birdneck Family,
I'm looking forward to a wonderful week and learning about how you have been helping students create meaning goals for themselves. Checking in with your students to help them monitor their progress is just as important as creating the goal itself. Take some time to reflect on how you will teach and help students measure their success toward their goals and celebrate with them as they grow.
Here's to another AMAZING week!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Captain out,
RV Yoshida

Learning Commons
Hello All,
The Learning Commons in our library is a space for everyone’s use and we want to see great activities where students are using the 5 C's. Please remember there are also lessons being taught by our librarian, speech teachers and PALS teachers in close proximity.
When other students are having lessons in the library or offices housed in the library, they might be easily distracted by the excitement of students in the Learning Commons. Reminding students to be respectful of others while they are trying to learn will help minimize distractions. Entering the Learning commons using the doors on the primary side of the building will also help.
When more than one class is going to be using the Learning Commons, distractions could increase so again, please remind students to keep their volume at a reasonable rate. It is also important that table areas are cleaned and straight prior to leaving so the next groups will have a clean and ready space available.
Please coordinate with the library staff to schedule use of the Learning Commons space for groups larger than 25 to minimize disruption of library, speech and PALS activities and lessons.
Thank You!
