MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL JACKSON
There are some exciting things in the works at FCE! Next year we will have our first ever Innovation Lab! This will be a part of each student’s K-4 specials rotation. Students will experience the Innovation Lab once every 4 days during their specials block. Our inventors will be constructing, creating, collaborating, exploring, thinking critically and problem solving. We have been busy purchasing lots of resources and materials to support this space and we need your help.
We would like to begin to continually collect simple items for students to use. There will be a donation box in the hallway outside of the office to drop off any items you may have laying around the house that we can use to be innovative in the year to come.
Here is a list of suggested items we are looking for:
Toilet paper tubes
We are excited about this opportunity!! Thank you for any help you can provide!
Thank you to our Students, PTO and Staff Appreciation Committee!
Thank you to our students for all the beautiful flowers, and thank you to our PTO for the meals and goodies you provided to the FCE Staff this past week. WE APPRECIATE OUR PTO!
MAY 1-12 PLASTIC LID AND CAP DRIVE
Student Council and Girl Scout Troop 1203 have teamed up to hold a plastic lid drive to help an elementary school in Flora, Indiana that is collecting lids to make 4 benches from recycled plastic. The class that brings in the most weight in lids and caps will win a popcorn party sponsored by Troop 1203. PLEASE SEND THOSE LIDS IN AND THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!
END OF YEAR BOX TOP WINNERS
This year's Box Tops winning classrooms are: Batchelor, Stoeffler, VanWynsberghe, Robinson and Nation. Way to go! Each of these classes will be rewarded with a pizza party!!!
WE CONTINUE TO TAKE ON-LINE ENROLLMENTS FOR NEXT YEAR!
If your child is a current student at FCE, you do not need to re-enroll for next year.
