Birthday Treats
Masks
Message from Dr. Genco, Superintendent
The weather forecast for next week-- Monday, Sept. 20 through Friday, Sept. 24-- reveals more moderate temperatures. Therefore, and in accordance with Executive Order 251 (EO 251), masks will be required in all buildings and on buses.
Our teachers and staff will continue to seek alternate spaces to maximize social distance and allow for mask breaks when appropriate. Additionally, if a non-air-conditioned building or space becomes uncomfortable despite the anticipated moderate outdoor temperatures, our teachers and school leaders have the opportunity to modify restrictions and adjust as necessary.
It’s also important to remember that, based on the latest guidelines, students who properly and consistently wear masks as required and who have maintained at least three feet of distance from someone who tests positive for COVID-19 will not be considered a close contact.

Arrival and Dismissal Information
- Supervision will not be available for walkers until 9:15 a.m., therefore students should not arrive before then. If you are dropping off in the morning, please do not arrive in the ferry lane before 9:10 a.m.
- For pickup, please do not arrive before 3:20 p.m. Arriving too early will cause a backup on Motor Road which causes problems for our community.
- Please see the linked map for directions. At pickup, parents should wait by their cars and students will be dismissed to you once the teacher makes eye contact. Drop-off/Pick-up Map
Some reminders:
- Please wear masks when social distancing is not possible.
- Please pull up as far as you can when dropping off. Make one stop. Students do not have to get out in front of the door they are entering.
- Please use only Lane 1 for drop-off. At dismissal, please use all lanes to park.
- If you are in the LAST LANE, DO NOT CUT TO THE FIRST LANE WHEN EXITING. This is not fair to those waiting.
- Please refrain from bringing pets up to the doors for pick-up.
- If you park on Merion (Ferry Lane), do not block anyone's driveway and park on the side. Do not park in the middle of the lane. A firetruck must be able to pass by in case of an emergency.

Breakfast and Lunch Menu
Food Services
We encourage families to fill out a 2021-2022 Free and Reduced Meal Application. Applications can be completed from a computer or smartphone on the SchoolCafe app, the website at www.schoolcafe.com or a paper application may be printed from the www.trschools.com website and returned to the Main Office when completed. Filling out your application is critical as it is used to determine eligibility for P-BET benefits, and these applications directly impact the amount of State School Aid our district receives.
The cafeteria will serve breakfast and lunch. All students will receive free breakfast and lunch. Students will be charged for ala carte purchases. Pine Beach School has a computerized payment program; more information can be found on the TR website under Food Services or on www.schoolcafe.com. Your child’s ID card acts as a debit card. We encourage you to utilize our online payment program to avoid owing money. You will need your child’s ID # to register. The weekly menu can also be found on www.trschools.com.
SCHOOL MESSENGER TEXT MESSAGES
Our school will be utilizing the School Messenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more.
Here is the link for the English/Spanish directions for families to opt-in: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1llsGIAuVCvOn1VaXDfRw_HSlulyNevln/view?usp=sharing .
IMPORTANT, DO FIRST: Your cell phone number has to be in Genesis, which in turn updates School Messenger. Otherwise, the opt-in is ignored. Check your parent portal contact record to ensure you have included your cell phone number before trying to opt-in using the short code from the brochure. If not, you will need to opt-in again the day after adding your cell number to your portal contact record.
