We Love Our Students and Wildcat Families!
From The Principal's Desk
Hi, Wildcat Families! We’ve returned from Winter Break in full speed. January is full of activities around the Janesville campus. The second quarter ended on January 26th and report cards will come home on February 5th. A few reminders about resources available to your students if they are struggling with their schoolwork- Students in grades 3rd - 8th can access Skooli; live interactive, real time tutoring at home 24/7 for free. Students have been shown how to log in through the Janesville website through their clever account, please reach out to Mrs. Fine if you need help logging in. This is a great resource for homework help. Students in grades 4th-8th can also attend Homework Club on Mondays-Thursdays from after school until 3:30p.m. if they need extra help with their homework. There are a number of great websites and resources available to help students practice the basic skills at home, please reach out to your student's teacher if you need help accessing them.
Our boys Wildcat basketball team is off and running and holding their home tournament on Feb 1st-3rd. Stop by and watch them play a game or two. We had a Pep Rally to kick off the tournament on January 31st. We're looking forward to our annual Pie in the Face assembly on Feb. 9th and the Valentine's Dance for 6th-8th graders on Feb. 9th as well. Don't forget to mark your calendars as we have two Monday holidays this month, Feb. 12th and Feb. 19th.
We had a successful Family Game Night on January 25th, hot cocoa and cookies, it was a great evening. If you weren't able to attend, we hope you can join us this spring when we plan our next family night. It's a great day to be a Wildcat!
