CROC TALK BRIEF
Nancy Ryles Elementary Newsletter ~ September 17, 2021
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE by MONICA ARBOW
Nancy Ryles Families,
We finished our first full week of school with a Spirit Day and “Dance Party Friday” as students entered the building this morning. The first Friday of each month is a Spirit Day, so if your child missed it this time, no worries! There will be another one in a few weeks.
I am pleased to share that students have been doing an amazing job of learning and demonstrating COVID-19 protocols (properly wearing masks, distancing, and hand-washing). As per district guidelines, I will send out a letter to all families informing them of a positive case of someone at our school. I will not release the name, grade, or any other distinguishing information due to privacy policies, but only that there is a positive case. So far, we have been fortunate to not have any cases, however, we know that COVID-19 is circulating in the community. Please continue to help us keep our students safe by wearing a mask whenever you are on campus and socially distance from others, especially students.
I hope you spend some time this weekend watching your teachers’ Back to School presentations if you haven’t already. If you have any follow up questions, feel free to contact teachers directly or attend an optional question and answer session next week. Please refer to your teachers’ email for the link to the Zoom Q&A session.
I hope you enjoy the fall weather this weekend.
Sincerely,
Monica Arbow
Principal

NRCO NEWS & EVENTS
NRCO Packets
Look in those backpacks! Packets came home today with lots of information from the NRCO.
NRCO Meeting
Our next NRCO meeting is Tuesday, October 12 on Zoom. The link will be emailed to families before the event! Please plan to join us!
Volunteer Needs - Tax Help
Are you a tax pro? Or do you work for a company offering tax services? The NRCO is searching for an accountant to support the NRCO's tax filings. Please email president@nancyrylesco.com if you are able to help, or if you have any leads. Thank you!
Classroom Liaisons
We are looking for a Classroom Liaison for each teacher. Classroom Liaisons serve a key role in the school, acting as a link between the teacher and the parent volunteers. While things will look unique this year, it’s a role that helps with coordination and communication between the teacher and all of the classroom parents.
Teacher Appreciation
Looking for a rewarding way to volunteer? Join a fun team and help plan the 2021-2022 school year staff appreciation events. We’re just getting started, so now is the time to get in on the ground floor! We accept anyone, regardless of availability. There is no time requirement and there are a variety of roles available. Have some great ideas but not sure about the time commitment? Join the team as an Idea Generator!
All volunteer opportunities are posted on Better Impact.
