Ending the First Grading Period - Where to find current grades.

As we wrap up the first grading period of 2020-2021 on Thursday, October 8th - please make sure you are utilizing Parent Access Center to review your child's current averages. Though there are grades and assignments in CANVAS it does not show the accurate current average - only PAC does.

Counselor Update

Right now, adults and children alike are struggling with what our world looks like now with Covid-19. Part of this struggle is knowing how to support children who are having trouble coping with this new reality. If you would like support in how to talk to your child, please take a moment to read this great article on how to help your child cope with the changes resulting from Covid-19. You can access the article here.

Some of you may have experienced some changes in your financial situation due to the current Pandemic. Please make sure to complete the assistance form so we can assist you as needed.

Library Update

If you have received an email informing you that you have overdue books, please return them as soon as possible. Books from last year from a different school can be turned in at Collins and they will be sent to the appropriate school. If the book is lost, please contact Mrs. Willingham at about paying for it to clear your student’s account.

Online Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon! Watch future newsletters for more information.

Friends of Collins

PTO is excited to launch our fundraiser, Friends of Collins!

September 25 thru November 1

This is the only fundraising the PTO will do this fall. We are not asking you to sell anything but only asking families to donate if they are able. We have some fun incentives available whether your student is in person or remote. Our fundraising goals are for each student to have a school Chromebook available to use & for math enrichment programs. You can donate on Membership Toolkit under Store.

Please contact with any questions.

Below is a graphic that is helpful in determining why you are presenting with certain symptoms. Please don’t let this chart take the place of calling your doctor when in doubt.
