March Newsletter
Quarter 3 is winding down....
If you are struggling in your classes, please reach out to your teachers and counselors to see what resources are available to help get you back on track. We have student tutors available, remember to use the writing and math labs, meet with your teachers before or after school, or ask your counselor for study strategies.
You've got this! Exciting things are ahead, so make sure you keep your head in the game and do your best.
College Credit Plus
1. Complete the Intent to Participate form. This is for ALL CCP participants, new and returning.
2. Apply to Tri-C or respective university if you have NEVER applied before.
3. Check out the checklist to check for next steps specific to attending CCP classes at WHS vs online or at the college.
If you were unable to attend our CCP Information Night back in January, you can view the video of the presentation to hear all of the useful information.
SAT & ACT Testing
If you would like to take an additional SAT test, you can register here: SAT
The above links will also allow you to see the upcoming test dates. Resources can be found through the local libraries to help you prepare for these test. Check out events at a library near you!
Scholarship Info
- Local scholarships: Due by 4/3
- Regional & Trade School Scholarships: Counseling Office bulletin board.
- Naviance: ClassLink-->sign-in--> click on Colleges--> Scholarship Search
As many of you start to get your Financial Aid packages in the mail, remember the opportunities above as an option for offsetting the cost of college. Even if you have earned merit scholarships, you can still earn additional scholarships.
Local scholarship are now open for students to apply. All local scholarships will be award to students on Senior Awards Night which will be held on May 18th at 6:30pm in the PAC.
