OAK CREST FAMILY TIGER TOPICS
November 12, 2021
Thank you for attending conferences this week! At the end of conference week, I am always exhausted physically. There are a lot of deep conversations about how to best support our students and that takes energy, creativity and heart. These conversations are an important part of partnering with families to help kids reach their full potential. My exhaustion is always balanced with excitement. Excitement about the possibilities for our students. I hear parents and staff saying over and over, we will do whatever it takes for our kids to be successful, to be happy, and to continue to grow into great people.
Most importantly, thank you for showing up. That one act sends the biggest message to your child that their education matters. If you were not able to attend conferences, I urge you to reach out to your child's teacher and find a time to talk. You know your child better than anybody on earth, and your insights can help us do our job. We are so lucky to work with your kids, thank you for working with us and trusting us to do this important work.
Have a great weekend!
Be RED!

Family Reminders
- If your child has a different plan for the end of their day, it must be communicated in advance to the teacher and the office. We will send kids home according to their routine without proactive communication.
- If you are dropping a child off late, or picking up early, parents should plan to come into the building to sign your child in and out. Masks recommended. Thank you!
- Students biking to or from school do need a permission slip signed by parents. Contact the office for more information.
- Safety continues to be a priority. Masks are recommended for students as they may help us keep the momentum of in-person, collaborative learning.
- Linked here is our Oak Crest Student/Family Handbook that outlines our expectations for Oak Crest students. Please refer to this when preparing your child for school.
