Why did he invent it?
George Eastman, the inventor of the first handheld camera, perfect the "Kodak" camera in 1888 made to use roll film with it. He made this camera, in hopes to make up for all of his mothers hardships she faced when raising him, and because he was into photography
How it works.
The Later Years of Eastman.
In Eastman's last few years, he started having tons of medical issues and spinal problems and this made it painful for him to walk, or even move. He ended up committing suicide because he got morbidly depressed from not being able to to move or do anything he loves. And as well as being burdened by his mothers pains and difficulties raising him and his sister.
