National 4-H Week
Sioux County 4-H is celebrating National 4-H Week in various ways!
- Having a theme for each day of the week. (Check out the flyer below.) We will be making social media posts on our Facebook page for each day. We ask that you comment on what the post is asking or email a picture to show you participated.
- Locker signs for 4-H'ers who were active in 4-H Online this year
- Giving Goodie Bags to various sponsors!
- GAME NIGHT!
If you or your club do something special during National 4-H Week, let us know and we would love to share it!
Volunteer Spotlight Sunday
Create a volunteer thank you note or spotlight a volunteer on Facebook.
Spirit Day Monday
Wear a 4-H Shirt or green shirt for the day.
Throwback Tuesday
Share with a friend or post a photo of a throwback 4-H moment.
Workout Wednesday
Complete the 4-H yoga pose, walk for 30 minutes, or eat a green smoothie.
Thank You Thursday
Write a thank you note to a club leader, volunteer, or sponsor.
Find Your Spark Friday
Create a new project or share with others about your favorite 4-H project.
Sioux County Game Night
Sioux County 4-H will be hosting a game night on Tuesday, October 4th after school until 5:00 pm at the Security First Bank Basement. Snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcome to attend and join in on the fun!
Forming the 2022-23 Superpowered Robotics LEGO League
Even though the fair has passed that doesn’t mean that all the fun is done! Sioux County 4-H getting prepared to start the 2022-23 Junior Robotics season!
If you’re interested in any of this and learning how to code robots join the Sioux County robotics group! The Explorers can be anywhere from 1st grade to 5th grade! Practices start October 11th at the Extension Office after school gets out. Snacks will be provided. 4-H Fun Feed
The annual 4-H Fun Feed will be held on Sunday, October 16th at 4 pm at the Sioux County Fire Hall. The Council will be providing the meat. Families need to bring a dessert, side dish, or vegetable. It will be a great night of celebrating youth members and their successes for the year!
Become a 4-H Youth Leadership Conference Ambassador!
We are so excited that you are interested in becoming a part of the Nebraska 4-H Youth Leadership Conference Ambassador Team.
As a part of this group we hope you can be a voice on the youth perspective, develop & practice leadership skills that you can take back to your communities, and collaborate with Extension Staff and 4-Hers across the state to plan & implement the 2023 4-H Youth Leadership Conference!

If selected our first meeting will be Sunday, November 6th, 2022, at 4-6pm CT (via Zoom). From there we'll meet monthly to create an amazing experience for you and other high schoolers across the state!
The 4-H Youth Leadership Conference will be held June 16th-17th, 2023 at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp in Halsey, NE!

4-H Enrollment
The current 4-H fiscal year will end on September 30, 2022 and the new 4-H Enrollment for the 2022-2023 4-H year will open around October 17th.
Please make sure to keep this on your radar and get enrolled in 4-H for the new year starting in October! Deadline for 4-H Enrollment will be June 15, 2023.
Note - 4HOnline has undergone a new update. The parent company behind the 4-H Online website has elected to add a banner ad for Auction Frogs that will appear when families log into 4-H Online. There is no way for Nebraska 4-H to opt out of the banner ad. This banner ad appears at the bottom of the Member List in the Family Profile. If you click "X" button the ad, the ad should not appear again in that browser.
Volunteer Roadshow
Hello Dawes County 4-H Volunteers!
Nebraska 4-H is excited to bring the 4-H Volunteer Road Show to volunteers statewide this November! The 4-H Volunteer Road Show will rotate host locations each year, get registered today at the location near you OR attend the virtual session! Please see the below flyer for details regarding the dates, locations and times. November 1st will be in Rushville! November 6th will be virtual!
Each Road Show location will have the following schedule: meal, Helping Youth Thrive session, option of attending project trainings: Safely Canning Food with Youth or STEAM Activities for Club Meetings, General 4-H Volunteer Idea Sharing and finished with a wrap-up session on introducing parliamentary procedure to youth. Volunteer Appreciation
