Some great responses in our Silent Movie Assignment this week! Great job! Today and tomorrow I will be sending out an assignment report as always. Please take this seriously as we only have a couple weeks of class left. So try to get things completed as soon as possible!
The last day of the semester is Friday, May 20.
If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask and I will be happy to help!
Have a great day!
Let's explore ....
Every time the Orcs are nearby from the horrible shrill shrieks from both they and the Wargs that they ride. The elves announce themselves with the sheep's horn they trumpet. There is a musical line we have come to know when we are in the Shire, home of Bilbo Baggins, as well as when we visit Rivendale, home to the elves. As we explore the beginnings of the Necromancer and when he begins to gather the Orcs to form an army, there are certain sounds and music which represent this location. Smaug comes equipped with his own special sound-effects, and then of course there is that cursed little ring that has it's own musical motif every time it becomes seen as well as when it is placed on Bilbo's finger.
That is just a small list, but in my humble opinion this film truly represents the many things we have studied, and although I am a little bit bias, maybe you should check it out for yourself and we could compare notes! It should be good!
