SEL and Summer
Social and emotional skills are important for both children and adults to build and maintain healthy relationships and to develop a strong and balanced sense of self. Parents and families are critical in helping their children develop social and emotional competence by modeling the kinds of skills, attitudes, and behaviors we want to see in our children. During your summer fun activities, intentionally model and highlight skills you want to foster in your children. Here are some fun ideas to get you started, as well as, resources supporting specific skill development.
