Principal's Pen

Dear Bishop Baraga Families,

Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I thank God for the gift of our mothers and in particular our Blessed Mother. May she intercede for us, especially during this difficult time.

Bishop John has announced that the public celebration of Masses will begin again on May 19th. Social distancing must still be observed, and the bishop has put certain directives in place. I have attached his letter to the bottom of this newsletter. Please read through this carefully. There is still a dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass as it is likely we will not all be able to attend Mass due to social distancing and space issues as well as the risks associated with social gatherings. You should contact your parish with any questions.

Thursday, May 28th, was originally scheduled to be our 8th grade graduation. We are planning to have a virtual all-school pep rally that evening on Zoom. Please stay tuned for more details in the upcoming weeks. Also, you recently gave us the t-shirt sizes of all your children. Those t-shirts should be arriving soon, and we will be setting up dates to pick them up at school. If you are not able to, we will arrange to deliver them to your homes.

Have a wonderful week.

God bless,

Angela Oller

Teacher Appreciation Week

Last week was teacher appreciation week. A huge thank you to all our wonderful teachers who are such a blessing to us!

Golf Outing Cancelled

The annual golf outing has been canceled. This was scheduled for June 12th, but with the current situation we are not able to hold this event. The fundraising committee will be working on alternate events starting with the Friends of BBCS Raffle. We will start selling these raffle tickets soon. Please consider purchasing one or selling to family and friends.
