A Message from Ms. Bourgeois
Staff,
I'd like to thank you for all you do, and continue to do to support our students, one another, and the community! Your efforts do not go unnoticed. The love, compassion, and dedication is evident in the work that you do each day. Please place an out of office reply on your email, or any other device connected to school. Take this time to RELAX, RECHARGE, and RECONNECT with your loved ones, friends, and people you cherish the very most!
New to Mehfoud
Mr. Ben Miles will began on 1/2 as our head custodian! We are beyond excited to welcome him to the team. Please give him a warm PANDA welcome.
Shout Outs and Recognition
Panda of the Week
- Ms. Newberry is quick to share her ideas, offer possible solutions and make decisions based on our students. She is also ready to consider and accept others' ideas with a true team spirit. Mrs. Newberry works hard to make everyday count in the education of her students. She always chooses what is best for the students over what is easiest for her.
- Thanks to Ms. Pollard for helping to make the Stop, Drop & Lexia posters! Ms. Pollard collaborated with a colleague and shared ideas to support our Lexia Challenge.
- Thank you to the social committee for all of the fun activities that they planned for staff this week!
- Thank you to our LAMPS team who did a fabulous job planning fun activities for our students! It's so great to see all of the smiles and laughter!
- Thank you to Ms. Wagner for another fantastic performance! There is a lot of work that goes into planning a musical program. We are thankful for the true professionalism that Ms. Wagner brings to her craft.
- Thank you to Ms. Callahan for all of her hard work with collecting gifts for our Angel Tree

Panda PALS
Mike Sigmon, Michael Yardley, Brian Milby
Panda PALS is a mentoring program through HCPS (Henrico Heroes). This program takes place bi-weekly with Ms. Dooley. During mentoring sessions, our selected tier 2 students learn self-regulation skills, and have the opportunity to build relationships with a trusted adult. If you see these three guys around the building, please give them a warm welcome!
