T-Shirt Tuesday

We are starting “T-shirt Tuesdays” this week. Everyone should wear their favorite inspirational, funny, school appropriate t-shirts on Tuesdays. If students need t-shirts they should see the counselors.

AAA Dance Class Placement & Company Auditions: 2023 – 2024 School Year

Arkansas Arts Academy will be holding Dance Class Placement & Dance Company Auditions during the week of March 6, 2023 at the AAA High School. These placement classes and company auditions are for students that will be in grades 7 – 12 during the 2023 – 2024 school year and will take place in the AAA high school dance studio (D130).

March 6

4:00 – 5:30 pm

Dance Class Placement for current 6th graders and any seventh or eighth grade students new to AAA. Class will include ballet barre, ballet center and modern/contemporary combinations.

March 7

4:00 – 6:00 pm

Dance Class Placement for AAA students currently in grades 7 – 11. Class will include ballet barre, ballet center and modern/contemporary combinations.

March 8

4:00 – 6:00 pm

Dance Company Auditions

This audition is for both Ensemble and Equilibrium Dance Companies. If you will be in 7th or 8th grade next year, you will be auditioning for the Ensemble Performance Company only. Ensemble is for students in grades 7 – 12. Equilibrium Dance Company will be grades 9 – 12.

Female dancers should wear a black leotard and pink or black tights that have holes in the bottom (called convertible tights) so the tights can be rolled up for the modern/contemporary portion of the placement class and company auditions. Hair should be in a bun – no bangs and no jewelry. Male dancers should wear white t-shirt and black tights or shorts. All dancers should bring ballet shoes.

Hola comunidad AAA, nos complace anunciar que Arkansas Arts Academy dará la Evaluación de Competencia en el Idioma Inglés (ELPA21) obligatoria por el estado a los Aprendices del Idioma Inglés de nuestro distrito durante las semanas del 6 de marzo y el 10 de marzo. Por favor, asegúrese de fomentar hábitos saludables de sueño y nutrición, así como reforzar la asistencia especialmente en estos días.

Hello AAA community, we are pleased to announce that Arkansas Arts Academy will be giving the state mandated English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA21) to our district's English Language Learners during the weeks of March 6 and March 10. Please be sure to encourage healthy habits of sleep and nutrition as well as reinforcing attendance on these days.

Students K-12 will be able to experience the East Initiative in all grades. AAA HS has just been approved for an EAST LAB. We are thrilled for this incredible opportunity for our students. Congrats Mr. Beard
