Why is Belize beautiful?
Belize is full of attractions and has beautiful scenery. It has attractions for all ages from the Great Blue Hole, zoo, wildlife sanctuary's, national parks, and resorts. Belize is a beautiful place for vacation .
Religion
Anglicans established the first church, but one half of the people in Belize follow the Roman Catholic Church.
Language
The most spoken language in Belize is English and the second most spoken is Spanish
People
With a population of around 320,000, the ethnic diversity of this country is impressive. The major ethnic groups would be Creole, Mestizo, Maya, Garifuna, East Indians, Chinese, and Mennonites.
Customs/ Traditions
I would say Belize is very much like Mexico, both customs are very similar. From the food, sports and things of that sort. Punta is by far the most popular genre of Garifuna music and all of Belize. They also celebrate "Carnaval" just before Lent, in contrast to Creoles who hold their "Carnival" in the month of September.
Economy
Tourism is the number one foreign exchange earner in this small economy, followed by exports of marine products, citrus, cane sugar, bananas, and garments.
Holidays/ Festivals
They celebrate this thing called Fiesta de Carnaval which is held before Lent begins. Also Baron Bliss Day in honor of Sir Henry Edward Ernest Victor Bliss that takes places during March. Easter week is a weeklong holiday. There is nationwide shutdowns as Belizeans attend religious services and take family trips.
