Week of October 12th
From the Desk of Mrs. Schmid
This week marks the start of our 1st and 5th grade pilot! We are very excited to welcome back many of our students to in-person learning! Thank you to all of our community and staff who have helped make this possible; we greatly appreciate your support.
If you did not have a chance to watch the board meeting on Monday, October 5th, here is a copy of the presentation that was shared: Return to School Update Fall 2020. We look forward to welcoming back our students K-2 who choose in-person learning, the week of the 2nd, and our 3-5th who choose in-person learning, the week of the 16th. We are currently working on our plans and look forward to gathering learnings from our pilot to apply to our K-5 in-person learning second semester. See the selection form below. As a reminder, it only needs to be complete if you are selection the hybrid plan. If no selection is made, your child will continue in remote learning.
A big thank you to Mrs. Secrist and our PTA who organized our first virtual assembly Friday! There were many smiles, laughs, and dancing as they answered the game show questions and fun was had by all!
As a reminder, students do not have school on Monday. We will resume remote learning on Tuesday, October 13th.
We look forward to a great week of learning ahead! We thank you for your continued support!
Second Quarter Selection Choice: Due Monday, October 12th
REMINDER: The deadline to select the hybrid model is Noon on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Beginning the week of November 2, the district is implementing a hybrid model that offers students in-person instruction on scheduled days. Parents who want their child to participate in the hybrid model to receive instruction at school on select days need to enter their selection in ParentVUE by Noon on Monday, October 12, 2020. Parents who participate and are eligible for transportation will also be asked if their child will require bus service.
Parents who wish to have their child continue with remote learning do not need to make a selection at this time. Students will automatically continue in remote learning unless parents select the hybrid model.
Please note, the selection to participate in the hybrid model is for the second quarter only. Students will not be able to switch between remote learning and hybrid for the remainder of the second quarter after Monday at Noon.
Please visit Return to School to review the plan for the second quarter.
To select the hybrid model, log in to ParentVUE and click on the Student Info tab, then click Edit Information. The Return to School option will appear near the bottom of the page. Step-by-step instructions are here.
