Getting Ready for Our Play!!

We are going to be doing A LOT of work to get ready for our class play this week! We will be working on costumes and scenery this week. We have a lot to do. I will send a note home the day before we are painting. We will be using washable paints, but it is always a good idea to wear old clothes on our painting days. :) While working on this, we will still keep working on learning our lines. Please remember: if your child brings his/her script home to practice lines, please send it back the next day. We are practicing every day!

Report card assessments are underway. One of the "I Can" statements that I need your help with is getting your child to write his/her first and last name correctly. I encourage the kids to write first and last names on work to get in some practice. Other than that, it is tough for me to work one-on-one with names. I went ahead and introduced the last of the sight words this past week to give the kids more time with the newest words. We have really been working on all of the sight words for a while and I had my helpers do a quick sight word check before doing the official assessment in about a week or so. There is so much to do and so little time!!

Thank you all so much for making this an awesome teacher appreciation week for me! I loved every note, gift, and treat! It was awesome to get a new surprise each day! Thank you all so very much! A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Suesz for organizing it all as well! You are all the best! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Important Note from the Clinic

As you should be aware, all medications are required to be transported to and from school by the child’s parent or guardian. As the school year comes to a close, I want to remind you that all medications will need to be picked up by 4:00pm the last day of school (May 25th). Any medications left in the clinic will be discarded and will not remain in the clinic. If your child currently has medications in the clinic that are not likely to be used again, please consider picking medications up prior to the final day of school to avoid long lines.

Thank you,

Denise Stanger, RN School Nurse
