This Week in 4th Grade
Math: Be sure students are studying basic math facts 10+ minutes each night. ALL students should be on Rocket Math division.
English/Language Arts: This week students will present their Figurative Language Videos to the class. I will share links to the videos upon completion :) Young Authors compositions will be composed this week. The most creative pieces of writing from the grade level will be entered into the Young Authors contest! Students will learn about Hurricanes using Core Clicks non-fiction reading comprehension strategies.
Spelling: Sort 22
Social Studies: We will wrap up our Southeast Region unit with a test on Thursday. Students will need to know the location of the states and capitals of this region along with important information from the region.
Technology Takeaway
This week students utilized a great new brain-mapping tool, Coggle! Students used Coggle to make Thinking Maps about their favorite things as well as important information about the Southeast Region.
