Evolutionary psychology is a foundational metatheoretical framework that integrates the entire field of psychology into one theory. They use each individual idea to back their belief that as we grow and change, we learn new things and adapt to our surroundings and society. Often you will find them relating psychological traits to physiological mechanisms such as the heart, lungs, and immune system.
