LOVE FOR VB "FORGET-ME-NOT"
As a reminder, this weekend marks the first anniversary of the mass shooting at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center. The VB Strong Center has developed a number of events to honor the memory of the victims, and the City of Virginia Beach has asked that we all participate in a moment of silence this Friday at 4:06 p.m. This Sunday, May 31, at 4:06 p.m., there will be a virtual remembrance ceremony on loveforvb.com. You’re also invited to leave your white or blue-colored porch light on that evening.

Gr. 5 Drive By Moving Up Celebration!
A Grade 5 Drive By Moving Up Celebration will be held to honor our fifth graders on June 11, 2020, @ 1:00 p.m. at Trantwood Elementary School. We want to make this a fun and memorable send-off for our Grade 5 Cardinals and would LOVE for all staff to participate if possible.
Our plan includes having cars enter at the parent drop off entrance of the school. Staff will be spread out in front of the school and along Inlynnview near the marquee. Please sign up here to let us know you will be joining in the fun. Mrs. Lewis will be creating a map so we are spread out around the route to cheer our fifth graders as they drive by.
We would love for all staff to create their own special signs and cheer for our Cardinals!

SUMMER SCHOOL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
All VBCPS Employees,
A modified Summer School Program for the 2019-2020 school year will be taking place in the next few months. Due to the current pandemic crisis, plans for the schedules, course offerings, and instructional delivery formats are still being finalized by the Department of Teaching and Learning. The Human Resources Department would like to invite all interested VBCPS staff to complete and/or update their VBCPS Transfer Application for summer school employment. Additional information will be shared as plans are finalized. Because we are attempting to build a pool of candidates, please submit your application now.

The Department of Technology is deploying a new Outlook add-in, PhishAlarm. This add-in provides a quick and easy button to report potential phishing or spam emails. This button is only available in the Outlook application on Windows devices.
To report messages in O365 web version: ● Junk messages, forward the email to junk@office365.microsoft.com ● Phishing scam messages, forward the email to phish@office365.microsoft.com
When a suspicious email is received in Outlook. Click on the PhishAlarm Report Message button on the top of the Outlook ribbon, then click “Report Message” choice from the drop down menu. Last, click Yes to confirm.
The needed information is then automatically sent to Microsoft. Please delete the email in question once it has been reported.
