Narrator for Windows

Use Narrator to read text aloud on your Windows PC!

HINT: Run a search through the Start Menu for "Narrator". Pin it to the Taskbar...a simple click brings up Narrator:

Accessing Narrator

Narrator reads text on your PC screen aloud and describes events, such as notifications or calendar appointments.


Start or stop Narrator


There are three ways to turn Narrator on or off:

  • On a keyboard, press the Windows logo key + Enter.
  • On the sign-in screen, select the Ease of Access button in the lower-right corner and choose Narrator.
  • Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Narrator, and then move the slider under Narrator .
