What We Are Learning This Week
Language Arts: We will be reading Who's That Knocking On Christmas Eve by Jan Brett.
We will be looking at text clues to help us make inferences. We will continue to work with strong vocabulary and letter writing skills. We will read a nonfiction book about polar bears and write information and facts down in paragraph form.
Social Studies: We will continue our study on Holidays around the World! We will look at Christmas, Diwali, and Hanukkah.
Math: We will combine our knowledge of adding and subtracting three-digit numbers with our skills for solving word problems as students are expected to solve three-digit addition and subtraction word problems.
Science: We will continue looking at patterns and cycles in the weather and moon phases. Students will demonstrate an understanding of our Earth's patterns and cycles by analyzing our observation calendars.
