Middle School Jack-O-Lantern Jam
The NCLA Middle School Student Council is sponsoring the Jack-O-Lantern Jam (dance) on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 7:00-10:00 pm in the NCLA gymnasium for students in grades 6, 7, and 8th grades. The flyer for the dance is attached here. This will be a costume dance, and prizes will be awarded for various things. We will also have a pumpkin carving contest...pumpkins must arrive carved.
The dance will feature a professional DJ, food, decorations, and prizes for costumes and pumpkins. The admission price is $10.00. No other money is needed once inside unless students would like to purchase iced pumpkin lattes...they are $1.00 (decaf of course). The price covers DJ, food purchased by committee, decoration needs, and allows Student Council to make a profit to purchase items needed at the school.
We need help with food items, chaperones, and other things in order to help make this dance a success. Please click on the link below and see how you can help our middle school students have an amazing time at the Jack-O-Lantern Jam!!!!

CiCi's Pizza Ordering
Parents, we are excited to offer a school wide lunch option with Cici's Pizza starting on Friday, October 21st.
Lunches will include 2 slices of pizza, a salad or carrot sticks, brownie and a water for $5. Additional slices of pizza may be ordered and we will be pursuing other side options as the program progresses. Instructions on how to place your online order are attached to this email. Please note, orders must be placed online (http://cicispizza.h1.hotlunchonline.net) and submitted no later than 8:30 am on Friday mornings to be accepted. We cannot accept orders or payments outside of this system with this program.
The NCLA piloted this program with our 3rd - 6th graders for two weeks. We think the program went very well, but have the following tips to ensure it is a success for your child.
- If your child will not eat a side item, please do not order it so we do not waste food.
- Please review with your child what they ordered in the morning.
- Please place your order no later than the night before to ensure you do not miss the cut off time.
- We run two reports to ensure we do not miss any orders. If your child is not on the report and did not pack a lunch they will need to go to the front desk. We cannot sell them an order on Friday.
