MCA Weekly Wrap-Up!

Primary & KinderPrep Family News - April 6, 2018

What a week!

The teachers and staff were so blessed this week by all of the wonderful treats, surprises, and the many volunteers who made Teacher Appreciation Week so special for us! Special thank you to Rachel Baumler of our Bless Our Teachers team for coordinating all the efforts. We felt so appreciated and loved! Thank you!

Winter doesn't want to leave us...

With this wintry weather sneaking up on us again, please help your child remember to always bring a coat or jacket to school! It's easy to forget when you're jumping in the car from a warm garage, but until winter leaves us for good, it's important to have some warm layers available at school!

Calendar Reminder

MCA 3rd-6th grade students will be doing ACT Aspire Standardized Testing April 16th-19th. We only have this window to complete the assessment, so please ensure that your children are well-rested, arrive at school on time, and have not scheduled daytime appointments for these days. Thank you!

Father-Daughter Dance

Save the date! A wonderful MCA tradition is coming up on April 28th...the 13th annual Father-Daughter Dance. Your daughter should have brought home an invitation, and you can click here for information about fun accessories bundles available for purchase!

A note from Mrs. Feldman about Writing Club:

Writing Club has begun for 2nd and 3rd graders, and we are well over 20 students. The excitement is oozing out of my classroom. The students made known things they want to learn such as practicing their cursive writing, writing better and writing stories. The plan is to do lots of writing of stories, poetry and increase our vocabulary aptitude.

Helping me with Writing Club is my daughter Candace who s here from the University of Arizona bringing her expertise as well as her creative abilities. Writing Club is only six weeks and ends on May 7th.

A Note from Parents in Prayer

Parents in Prayer meets on Tuesday mornings when school is in session from 8-8:30 a.m. in room 106 at South campus. We invite you to come pray with us! We hope to see you Tuesday, April 10th for a united time of prayer with other MCA families!
