LMS Tiger Talk
November 18, 2022
Principal's Message
This week we concluded our "Pass It On" food drive with our students walking their donated food items down to the Prince of Peace church to support the LIFE Food Pantry. This was a great opportunity for our students to give back to the community that gives so much to them. Pass It On has become a cherished tradition across Loveland, and we are fortunate that our students get the chance to participate in such a special cause as the holidays grow near. Thank you to our families for all the donations contributed throughout this food drive. We ended up with over 2,300 food items donated through these efforts (more details below). Truly #beLOVEland material right here!
We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and fall break, spending time with family and loved ones. We are thankful for all of the support of our families and all that you do to raise such awesome students. We will see everyone back at school on Monday, November 28th.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends.
Take care and Go Tigers!

- Please be mindful of the amount of time that you are spending unloading in the morning. We appreciate everyone making sure that your child is ready to efficiently and safely exit the car upon you entering the drop-off area. If you require an extended unloading time for any reason, please pull up beyond the drop-off area so that traffic behind you is not affected.
- Pull all the way up to the front of the drop-off zone or as far as possible before unloading. This allows us to maximize the number of students unloading at the same time in the safest and quickest way possible.
Thank you, everyone, for your cooperation. These little things truly make a difference as we unload hundreds of cars each morning.
Holiday Support
Every year, LMS staff sponsors some of our families that need a little extra support during this time of year. Loveland community members are amazing and have expressed interest in helping out as well. If you would like to help make the holidays extra special for some of our students and families, you may sign up here to donate a gift card(s). You can send the gift card to school with your student or drop it off at the front desk on or prior to 12/12. If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Tobergte at tobergda@lovelandschools.org. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Attn 8th Grade Families: Four Year Graduation Plan
The 8th-grade students participated in career exploration activities in the first quarter. Now is the time to start using this information for planning purposes. Each student needs to complete the Four Year Graduation Plan in order to be ready to make the most of the academic offers at Loveland High School. Please follow these steps with your student at home to complete this required activity:
+ Log into Naviance (from the "waffle" in Clever when in the student Google account), click on Self-Discovery then Career Cluster Finder.
+ Go over the report to discuss the top-scoring cluster matches; click on those that are most interesting to discuss considerations around those career fields.
+ After this, ask your student about what was appealing about the careers that have been added to their "favorite" list.
+ Using that information, please take a look at the Loveland Career Pathways that are connected to these career clusters - Loveland Career Pathways. The pathway documents can be used to help with completing the Four Year Plan.
+ Lastly, click on the Home tab in Naviance and scroll to the bottom of this page to find the form to complete the Four-Year Plan. Allow for approximately 15 minutes to complete this. All of the directions are included in the form.
The due date for completion of the Four Year Plan is Wednesday, December 7. Specific course scheduling information will be shared once we get closer to January. Feel free to reach out to Mr. Mitchell (mitchedr@lovealndschools.org) with any questions.
