A Message from the Principal
The First Week of School
Here are some important things to know for the first week of school to help your child have a smooth transition to the new school year:
- We encourage all students to ride school-provided transportation, but if you are dropping off/picking up your student, please use the parent pick-up/drop-off lot which is the East Pool lot. This is for all grades, 6, 7, 8.
- School doors open for students at 8:10 am, with the exception of Door 4, which opens at 8 am for students to eat breakfast.
- School starts at 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 6.
- An alphabetical list by grade level will be posted in the hallways the first week of school. Students should find their Advisory classroom when they arrive at school. They will receive an updated copy of their class schedule in their Advisory classroom.
- Students will receive a Jackson Strong Planner in Advisory. The Planner will be reviewed over the first two weeks of school.
Backpacks
Backpacks will need to stay in lockers during the school day. The only bag students will be allowed to carry is their Chromebook bag during the school day.
