Happy New Year!

Welcome back for our second semester! After a nice, long break it's exciting to start fresh with new opportunities and goals for 2016. As we reflect upon the lessons learned in 2015, let us challenge ourselves and each other to continue to strive for excellence in all endeavors. Please join us in our mission to provide the best PK-8th grade educational experience in the state and let us know how YOU'd like to get involved.

GISD Mission Statement

Garner ISD promotes academic excellence by preparing children with:

  • a set of moral values founded in honesty, integrity, and good judgment,
  • a complement of functional skills that include Linguistics, Mathematics, Science, Art, and physical and social aptitude,
  • an inquiring and discriminating mind that desires knowledge,
  • strong self-esteem and high personal expectations,
  • and tolerance and respect for others.

We value the partnership which exists between school, families, and community and the role this partnership plays in promoting these virtues and preparing students to carry these with them into their futures.

Say THANK YOU to our GISD Board of Trustees!

Please take time this month to show your appreciation to each of our school board members. These dedicated individuals volunteer several hours a month to study, meet, discuss, and plan for Garner's future. They are heroes of our community - making a difference in all of our lives!
