Smarter Balanced Assessments
SBAC testing is underway! Students in grades 3 – 8 and 11 in the Beaverton School District and throughout Oregon have started taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition to content standards; these assessments are designed to measure critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. The test results provide you, our schools, our district and the state with information about how well we are preparing our students for their next steps including college and career readiness.
Stoller students will take these tests once between April and June, 2017. Please refer to the following documents (also posted on our Stoller Website) to see when your child(ren) will be taking this assessment:
Pennies 4 Patients
The challenge will take place in the student’s Advisory classrooms. Contributors can bring a check, cash, or change to compete against all grade levels and classrooms in Stoller. All checks should be made payable to the “Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.” As an incentive for students, Stoller will be offering the winning class an Olive Garden Luncheon. Second and third place will receive a Popsicle Party for their classroom.
Take the Annual Parent Survey
Last Reminder...
Please take a few moments to complete the BSD Annual Parent Survey during the month of April! The survey helps us to evaluate our progress in educating your child and planning for the future. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our school community feels welcomed, valued, and informed, so it is important for all parents/guardians to complete the survey. The survey data will be summarized so that each person who answers will remain anonymous.
A link to the 2018 Annual Parent Survey was sent to all valid parent email addresses via SchoolMessenger on Monday, April 2nd, 2018. The deadline to participate is Friday, April 20, 2018. You can view a copy of the survey in both English and Spanish on the Research & Reports webpage
Lost and Found
Is your child missing clothing items? A lunch box or water bottle? A backpack? Please check out the Lost and Found, located in the hallway across from the Art rooms. Any items left behind are scheduled to be picked up by Beaverton Clothes Closet on the following dates - May 1st, May 29th, and June 20th.
