Teachers Make The Difference
Teacher Appreciation Week
Although teachers, like Northridge High's Sedrick Smith, II, acknowledges that the profession is challenging, he said it is a calling. That's why hearing directly from parents helps them understand the impact of their work.
"Parent feedback means so much to us as teachers," said Smith. "Just recently, I had a parent to tell me how much her son loves calculus now simply because of what we do in the classroom. He went from talking about football everyday to talking about calculus."
Did you know that the month of May also hosts recognition for Child Nutrition Employee Week, National Music Week and National School Nurse Day in addition to National Teacher Appreciation Week?
