Wind power
Why would we use THAT
Why is it so bad?
The wind never stays constant. It goes from zero to storm force. That means it will not produce the same amount of energy at all times. The wind is unsteady and unpredictable. Wind turbines are very expensive.
How does it hurt the enviorment?
Do you like birds? The ones that play pretty little songs in the morning. Well bird deaths are the most controversial issue related to the wind turbines. All the death of the birds and BATS have raised concerns by fish and wildlife agencies. The big blades have battered and killed over 20,000 to 35,000 birds a year. If we keep going like this our birds are going to die.
Harmful!
Killing animals
Killing thousands of birds and bats yearly.
Dangerous
Thats heavy metal they use and its even on fire, that could really hurt something or someone, even kill. Imagine THAT falling on your building.
Takes away from landscape
Ruins beautiful landcape. No one wants to look at that, as much as they don't want to look at coal mines or oil wells.
Economic impact
Most of the commercial-scale turbines installed today are 2 MW in size amd cost around $3-4 million dollars to install. Smaller farms cost less overall but are more expensive per kilowatt of energy producing capacity. Wind power requires government subsidies that take away from your hard earned tax money.
We're fighting for a change.
