Student Achievement
Pep's Air and Motion STEM Challenge
Pep 2.0 with Mrs. Pettit had Second Grade students at Davenport participating in Pep STEM challenges on Air & Motion. Many accepted and created paper airplanes, helicopters, and airplane hoopsters. Nina Oglesby created an airplane that flew 23 feet after some adjustments- impressive! So much fun while learning about Air & Motion!
GT's Engineering Design Challenge
Mrs. Pettit’s GT class participated in an Earth Day Engineering Design Challenge where they had to design and build something that would help the Earth. Xian Peralta decided to help the Earth by designing a strainer for drainage pipes to prevent pollution from going into our oceans. He then designed a prototype. Amazing!
GT's Engineering Choice Board
GT students were given an Engineering Choice Board where they learned about either Architecture or Aerodynamics and then created a project testing what they learned. Nathan Rupp chose Architecture where he created a blueprint of his dream space, then constructed it!
Primary Color/Color Wheel Art Zoom
Mrs. Pfaeffli and some of her first grade students from Davenport and Slaybaugh reviewed the primary colors and the color wheel. During their Zoom Art time, they went on a color hunt in their houses to make a Zoom Color Wheel! Instead of saying "cheese," they had fun all saying the name of each color for each picture. It was a great way to connect and do something together to make art!

Retrieval/Drop-Off
This week, Tuesday-Friday, 2:00-6:30, parents had the opportunity to come to school and pick up their students' belongings and drop off any materials that belong to the school. A big thank you to all of the staff members who assisted with this process. It was nice to see some familiar (masked) faces of parents and even some students!
