Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week
Well, another teacher and staff appreciation week is in the books! Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped us out this past week.
The love this brought our Ohana each day was such a joy to watch. They were so incredibly grateful for every surprise but really it’s a small gesture. This was the least we could do to express the gratitude and respect we have for all of them and the hard work they put in every single day. Thank you Mulready Teachers & Staff! We love you!

SIMPLE MACHINES IN GRADE 3
Can you save a tiger who fell into a moat? Well, the third graders in Mrs. Regh's found many ways! As part of their unit on simple machines, the students had to use at least two of the six simple machines to build an apparatus to get the tiger back on land. The six simple machines are: wheel and axle, inclined plane, wedge, screw, lever, and pulley. After getting into groups, the children brainstormed ideas and drew a model. Then using VEX kids they built their model, tested it, made adjustments, and finally, shared ther inventions with the class.
FRIDAY SCIENTIST IN MRS. REGH'S ROOM AND MRS. CALVANESE'S ROOM
Each week a student in Mrs. Regh's class and Mrs. Calvanese's class chooses an experiment. The student follows a format for a lab report and presents it to the class. The student then performs the experiment. This week, a boy in Mrs. Calvanese's room made an egg float by ading to salt to water. The salt made the water more dense and allowed the egg to float. In Mrs. Regh's class, a girl made slime. The ingredients in the slime were, baking soda, glue, water, food dye, and saline solution. To everyone's surprise, when it was mixed together, it was not sticky!
