Sharon Paek

  • Major and Expected Graduation Date.
BSBM w/ Accounting Emphasis 2023
  • What made you become a tutor?
If I’m being honest I’ve been a tutor for almost my whole life. I loved seeing his expression whenever he understood something, or when I help him solve a problem. It’s kind of like you can see visually see the wires in his brain “click.” Plus, it’s always nice to help students since I was once (and still am) in their shoes.
  • What benefits do you get by having a tutor?
It may be hard to ask for help sometimes, but it’s honestly so worth it. You can understand something better, so when you come across the same question or problem, you don’t just know the answer, you know the process to get that answer in a way that you can understand. A tutor can also be your friend. At Project PROA, we offer tutoring and mentoring, but if you feel that you’re comfortable enough with your tutor, you can always talk to them!
  • One thing you are excited for this coming end of the year?
One thing I’m excited for is the holidays! Christmas is literally my favorite time of the year, but don’t worry. I always wait until November 1 @ 12:00 am to put on Christmas songs. Usually our whole family would get together, but ever since the whole Covid situation, we haven’t been able to do that :( It’s okay though because we can still make the most of it! I can’t really explain why I love Christmas so much, especially since I don’t even get presents anymore, but just the whole ✨vibes✨ gets me all giddy inside.
