Dotting Dot Day.
By. Eleanor Schlesinger
Dot Day is an event celebrated by 197 countries and 20 million people on September 15th, the holiday is based around the book, The Dot which is about a young girl who thinks she can’t draw, her supportive art teacher convinces her to make a dot, when she does, she is then opened up to a world of possibility. In our school many people wear dotted clothes to celebrate, we also read The Dot in the library. Here is why Siegrist students think we celebrate! 2nd grader Eevee says, “I think we celebrate it because dots are everywhere!” And 3rd grader Gemma in Mrs. Jeffery’s class thinks, “Even a Dot’s art!” Mrs. Skaggs, Siegrist’s art teacher, says, “Because every dot is different, like people!” I hope you all had a wonderful Dot Day!

Roasting Pumpkin Seeds
By. Eleanor Schlesinger
Happy Autumn Siegrist! I’m going to show you a recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds to give fall a delicious start!
First, You’ll want to get a Pumpkin, then cut open the top and begin scraping the seeds out of the middle and into a strainer. Once the pumpkin is seedless, you can take the strainer and put it under water to clean them until they are smooth and white. Next, make sure no more pumpkin guts on them, and put them on a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with sides and spray with cooking spray (Spray the seeds as well so they don’t stick together). Then put salt on top and roast at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Stir them at 10 minutes and then if not browned, keep in the oven for an additional 5 more. Once the pumpkin seeds are done cooking, let them cool and enjoy a nice snack. I hope you enjoy our recipe!

Metalicity: The First Battle By Conrad Kearns
Once there was a boy. His name was Mike. Mike Shwatz was just an ordinary boy, and he lived in Beeville. There were three parts of Beeville. One part was the city where Mike lived. Another part was deserted, also where another superhero lived. We’ll get on with that part later. The 3rd part was where all the villains lived, including Z-DRAG, Blake Zap, and Mr. Freeze. These villains have tried to defeat the superheroes, but they kept failing. At one meeting, the villains were talking when Mr. Freeze said, “if we're gonna beat them, we have to work together,”. At the superhero meeting, Metalicity said “They are probably gonna all attack at once, so we have to use our freeze device against Z-DRAG and Blake Zap, and use the fire device against Mr. Freeze,” So the villains combined all their powers, and the superheroes marched to the city and set up their Devices. As soon as the villains came to town, the superheroes fired their devices and the villains got put in the maximum security jail cell. Then they got locked up. I do not recommend doing bad things.
