CHD Awareness Day February 5 - Wear Red
At ESE we are committed to learning about, becoming aware of, and celebrating our differences. Our differences are what make us special and unique. February is American Heart Month and Friday is National Wear Red Day. Every year in February we recognize and celebrate our amazing Congenital Heart Defect Warriors. During this month, children and adults living with CHDs are honored and given the opportunity to increase public awareness of congenital heart defects and childhood heart disease. We encourage everyone to wear red this Friday.
Friendship Parties February 5
Friendship Parties will be Friday, February 5 at the below times:
- 11:15 Goodrum
- 1:00 Zill, Holguin, 5th Grade
- 2:00 Kindergarten - 4th Grade
Students can still do valentine exchanges within classrooms, teachers will send information.
Teachers must ensure that each student sanitizes their hands prior to placing valentines in boxes.
Students are allowed to attach a small token to the valentines, such as a piece of candy, pencil, etc.
All party food & craft items have been provided by PTO. Please do not send in additional food or treats for the class.
Party Fees
The PTO Room parent coordinators and room parents are hard at work planning our quickly approaching February Friendship Party. At this time, we would like to ask each family to log onto our PTO website and see if you've paid for your party fees. These fees are used to purchase snacks, crafts, and games for each classroom (Pk-5th). We are working on a very small budget this year as we did not initially ask for party fees to be paid (as usual) before the school year started. We would be so grateful if you could take two minutes to log on and pay your student's fees if you have not already done so. This includes all virtual students.
