The Columbian Exchange Rocks!

By Jaclynn Dean

What is the Columbian Exchange?

The Columbian Exchange was a time when people went from England to the Americas. The Native Americans traded everyday things with the English. The English also Traded things With the Native Americans. They traded things like animals, foods and clothing.

Reasons Why And Why Not

One reason why not is, diseases. Diseases are a hurtful thing, they can even kill a person. The Old World people brought the diseases to the Americas. Another "why not" reason is the new people brought in animals that scared the Native Americans. The Native Americans thought a horse was a giant dog that ate human beings. One more "why not" is slavery. The Old World people got other people from Africa to work for no pay and they were not treated kindly.

One reason why is, Chocolate. Many people love to eat chocolate, but did you know without the Columbian Exchange, the world would not enjoy the Delicious, creamy Chocolate. Another "why" is bread. Do you like toast, how about sandwiches? Well, I love those things, without the Columbian Exchange we would not get to eat all the grains we love. One more "why" is sugar. You would not have cookies, cake, marshmallows, cotton-candy, and soft drinks. I could not live without those things.

You Should Vote FOR The Columbian Exchange!

You should VOTE for the Columbian Exchange because you would not have the foods and animals you love without the Columbian Exchange. People around the world would not have these things too. You might have not even been born if not for the Columbian Exchange. So, VOTE for the Columbian Exchange.

Go With The Columbian Exchange!

You should VOTE for the Columbian Exchange because you would not be able to enjoy the foods, animals, and clothing you love today without it.
