Principal Update
Mud Puddle! We are excited to see the snow melting on our yard but with the melt comes a huge amount of water and muddy areas. While we encourage students to stay out of the water some end up with muddy or wet pants and socks. Consider sending an extra pair of socks & pants to ensure the are dry and comfortable at school. Hopefully it will be short-lived:) | Water bottles Single use plastics are being eliminated in Ontario since February 1st; as such we are unable to purchase any more plastic cups to hand out to students for water. Our water fountains remain filling stations only. Please ensure that you send a refillable water bottle with your child each day. | School Council Update School council will meet next week-Wednesday, 29th @6PM at the school. All are welcome to attend. A reminder that Plant orders are due 30th March. Happy Planting:) |

GrandFriends Bingo Students in Ms. Guild's class have been sharing, writing, singing and connecting with "Grandfriends" from the Fairmont home in Glenburnie on a monthly basis. On Wednesday, they played a virtual game of Bingo together. The smiles and laughter were a testament to the benefits of this intergenerational partnership. | Spring time Students are enjoying having the pavement available again for basketball and volleyball. Roll on warmer days:). | Parking reminders Our parking lot is a busy place at drop off and pick up times; please ensure that you are not blocking our neighbours driveways or other parents. A reminder that busses need to have a clear view of Unity rd. as they exit our parking area to ensure student safety. |

Musical performance on Thursday 23rd March
Cuba and Brazil are two of the most influential countries in world music today, rich in rhythms and songs that are very well-known around the world. In his energetic and interactive performance, Joaquín showcases World Music, Latin rhythms, and dance that would be experienced at carnival and other community events.
Audience members had the opportunity to participate in percussion exercises, vocal chants, harmony parts, and traditional dance steps, and learn about various percussion instruments used in styles such as Samba and Conga.
Thank you to Mr. Burt for organising this musical experience for all.
