Semester 2 Educational Setting Survey
If you wish to change your child's educational setting for semester 2 (January-May), please complete the survey linked below by November 5th at 4:00 pm.
As you are carefully thinking through the process and making the best decision for your family, please think through the following considerations:
- If you do not want to change your child's educational setting, you do NOT need to complete the survey.
- If you wish to make a change, the survey window will be open from Monday, October 11 through Friday, November 5th at 4:00 pm.
- You should only complete this form once during the window for each child. We encourage you to be certain of your decision prior to submitting the educational setting change request.
- If you do not complete the survey during this window, your child will remain in his/her current educational setting through the end of the school year.
- If you make a change for the second semester, it is a commitment through the end of the school year.
- The only changes we will make for second semester are a move to either FULLY VIRTUAL or FULLY IN-PERSON for your student's entire schedule. No NEW hybrid (part-time virtual) schedules will be allowed.
- Students are not guaranteed to have the same teacher for the second semester.
Club Update
Honoring Our Heroes Writing Contest - Essay Due Oct. 29
Honoring Our Heroes is a writing contest developed in 1995 by the Eastern Cobb County Council of PTAs. The program was designed to encourage students to discover “real life” heroes who have shown generosity, trust, persistence, dedication, leadership, creativity, caring, bravery, imagination, service, gentleness, courage, or compassion. This year, we’d like our students to choose the hero of their choice - teachers, doctors, policemen, coaches, parents, veteran, siblings, and anyone else that has made a real and positive impact on a student’s life. There will be one winner from each grade (6-8). Those winners will go on to compete in the county wide competition. Click HERE for more information and the Entry Form. Any questions please email aflynt@forsyth.k12.ga.us.

21-22 Boys and Girls Basketball Tryout Info
If your student plans on trying out for the 2021-2022 RMS Basketball teams, please make note that there have been some changes to the tryout dates and times. We were given the opportunity to allow the athletes a few days to practice and run the drills and skills they will be evaluated on prior to tryouts. This allows athletes to become familiar and more comfortable with the drills and skills going into tryouts. Please know that your students physical should still be on file prior to the drills and skills days. See the charts below for the new schedule.
