Flamingo Friday!!!
Aviator Families and Friends!
We're hoping your flying high like a flamingo on a friday! Today you might hear your child tell you that birds were on the loose. Don't worry, it was just Mr. Cole and Mr. Meyer. We used our first flamingo friday as a way to recognize the hard work that teachers do. We also awarded our September Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Krissia Ennis. Your children were involved in all those celebrations and we were happy to model for them how to have fun and take a minute to celebrate small things! Check out the video announcements below for more information. This week we also spent time watching athletes as their season's ended and were able to connect with kids through various afterschool clubs. We love watching students pursue what they love by getting involved in new hobbies or gain new skills.
Something coming up for you to keep a look out for is information for Parent Teacher Conference sign-ups on 10/20 & 27. The link will be emailed out at 8am on Monday 10/10. If you're unable to make these conferences, or generally don't have concerns for your child, a newly created website will be shared which will have a number of supportive resources to further your ability to connect with your child academically & emotionally.
We had a great week, but we're really excited for Monday to have you all back with us! Have an awesome weekend.
-Mrs. Schunk, Mr. Meyer, Mr. Cole

National School Lunch Week
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of healthy school lunches in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. #NSLW22 will be celebrated October 10-14, 2022.
The theme this year is Peace, Love, and School Lunch! We will be celebrating in our cafeterias starting on Monday, October 10th. Keep an eye out for a few fun things going on this week! Monday - Come through our lunch lines to see our “Celebrity Chefs.” We will also have a selfie station set up and music going in the cafeteria. Stay Groovy!
